Radical prostatectomies are operations done to remove the prostate gland and surrounding tissue. Doctors do this surgery to remove prostate cancer, and it may be done by open surgery or surgery through small incisions–known as laparoscopic surgery.

Laparoscopic surgery is typically done by hand and can even be done by having a doctor guide robotic arms that grasp the necessary surgical tools. This method is known as robot-assisted prostatectomy. Sometimes in open surgery, an incision is made by the surgeon either in the groin between the anus and the scrotum or on the lower belly. When it’s in the lower belly, it’s known as the retropubic approach. Radical prostatectomies that use this approach are the most common form of treatment for prostate cancer. During theoperation, the surgeon may choose to remove the lymph nodes in the area as well in order to test for cancer.
The alternate operation is called the perineal approach–when the incision is made in the groin. This form of surgery has the possibility of a shorter recovery time than the retropubic approach. Prostatectomies typically require a general anesthesia and at least 2 to 4 days in a hospital. There is also a possibility of a catheter (a thin, flexible tube) being left in the bladder to drain urine for at least 1 to 3 weeks because bladder control can be poor after the surgery.

What are the best anti wrinkle products for men? The man who dared ask that question out loud would have been laughed at, not long ago. Men somehow convinced themselves that wrinkles and creases on their faces were macho, all part of being a man’s man.
Cancer
Most men have grown up a bit. They know they can use some help with anti wrinkle products, especially since many men have neglected their skin. A man still wants to look youthful, healthy and energetic–and face it, guys: wrinkles and age spots don’t send that message. Wrinkles are not manly.
Men’s Skin Care-Best Anti Wrinkle Products For Men
Given that men’s skin care is important, you naturally want to find the best anti wrinkle products for men. Here are a few facts about men’s skin care and theingredients that really help.
First, men’s skin is particularly prone to inflammation and redness.
Some of that inflammation may be due to the subtle genetic differences between men and women. Most of it is probably due to different behavior: most men shave every day, and they tend to be careless about sunburn, windburn, and letting their skin dry out.
Even when redness isn’t obvious, signs of aging often are–like dark spots and bags under the eyes, facial wrinkles and color variations in the skin. These are signs of hidden inflammation.
It is not easy to get this under control, but it’s possible. One thing a good men’s skin care product has to do is halt inflammation. To get technical, just for a minute: it must reduce production of Prostaglandin E2 in the body:this is the big biochemical pathway leading to inflammation in the skin.
So look for a men’s skin care product that promises to block PGE2 production–and tells you exactly what ingredients will do the job.
One word of advice on allowing yourself to get sunburned:
Don’t!
Sunburn, especially severe sunburn, is serious inflammation. (Why do you think your skin turns red?) Besides the pain and the skin damage, severe sunburn is linked to melanoma–a rare type of skin cancer, but still by far the biggest cause of skin cancer deaths.
For you guys who ignore this advice and get sunburned anyway, here are some ingredients that help with inflammation due to sunburn:
–D-Panthenol (vitamin B5) helps repair skin tissue and acts as a natural moisturizer. Enalso protects the skin against sunburn naturally provides relief for existing, sunburn, and enhances the natural tanning process. The other B vitamins contribute to skin tissue health as well.
–An extract of Japanese sea kelp called Phytessence Wakame contains high levels of D-Panthenol and other B vitamins. It rebuilds hyaluronic acid, the loss of which is one of the biggest causes of skin wrinkles, and researchers recently discovered that sulfated polyfucose, yet another active ingredient in phytessence, protects the skin against damage caused by the sun’s UV rays.
–Green tea extract, with its anti-inflammatory polyphenols, and both Vitamin A and natural Vitamin E, are antioxidants that help powrful repair damaged skin and seem to reduce susceptibility to sunburn.
–Witch hazel, a long-famous natural skin care ingredient, is helpful with sunburn, reducing inflammation and redness. Witch hazel is a natural antioxidant and astringent. Witch hazel is also a good traditional first aid for cuts and abrasions shaving for men.

Each day it appears that there’s new research or a fresh study being carried out to alert individuals in respect of the dangerous health facts on smoking. And with each fresh piece of study or new research, there appears to be one common reality-the smoking fact statistics aren’t good!

When it relates to the health of the respiratory system, the truth is that there’s almost no aspect of this system that’s left untouched. Smoking fact statistics have indicated that men that smoke can increase the risk of dying from lung cancer by almost twenty times and by nearly ten times for emphysema and bronchitis and emphysema. For women that smoke the risk of premature death from lung cancer can increase by almost twelve times and for emphysema and bronchitis nearly ten times.
Cancer
ATfurther point to notice is that smoking can triple the chances of dying from a heart related disease amid middle-aged women and men. Just consider that the risks can be tripled! In addition, smoking will affect the entire body, from the throat and mouth, to the digestion system, blood, and the bones.
Except, the saddest fact on smoking health is likely to be the effect of passive smoking-those that do not actually smoke themselves, but are exposed to it from those around them. Each year, the effects of second hand smoke can result in an estimated 3.500 sufferers from cancer among adults in the U.S.

Death from Liver Disease
liver cancer is usually a secondary development. Tumors of the lung, colon, pancreas, or stomach can spread to the liver. Tumors of the liver are either benign or malignant. Malignant, or cancerous, tumors of the liver are of two kinds-hepatoma and cholangiocarcinoma. A hepatoma is a tumor that grows in the liver and invades normal tissue.Cholangiocarcinoma is cancer of the bile duct cells. Advanced stages of liver cancer lead to death.
Cirrhosis
Scarring of normal tissue and inflammation of the liver leads to cirrhosis. It is one of the top ten diseases in the world that causes death.
Viral Hepatitis
Any of the following viruses can affect the liver and causes death: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis D, and Hepatitis and Hepatitis X., Among these types A, B and C are the main types of viral hepatitis. Around 40-60% of liver disease deaths are due to Hepatitis.

There is a large disparity between the life spans of dogs and humans. After having loved a pet and lost one, it seems unfair. The best we can do is to keep our friends as healthy as possible and “forever young.” Here are My Top 10 Ways to Keep Your Dog “Forever Young:
Liver Cancer
Liver Cancer
1. Know When Your Pet is “Old.” The time when your dog is considered a “senior” depends largely on his or her breed and size. According to Dr. Johnny Hoskins in Geriatrics and Gerontology of the Dog and Cat, small breed dogs (less than 20 pounds) are in their senior years around nine to 13 years of age. Medium sized dogs (21 to 50 pounds) around nine to 11. 5 years; large breed dogs (51 to 90 pounds) around 7.5 to 10.5 years and giant dogs (more than 90 pounds) between six and nine years. In general, smallerbreed dogs live longer.
2. Wellness Exams. When your pet is considered a senior, you should bring your dog for regular geriatric examinations. These examinations help identify early diseases or problems in older pets. Exams should include a history and physical examination with evaluation of the teeth, listening to the heart and lungs (by stethoscope), abdominal palpation (feeling of the abdomen) and inspection of your dog’s ear and eyes. Weight monitoring, parasite check (fecal examination) and blood work and urine tests are also often recommended. Other tests may be indicated depending on your pet’s symptoms.

Hair is an active tissue in the body, the state of which is affected by many factors including hormones, blood, perspiration, the environment and genetics. Our hair represents the condition of our bodies at a cellular level and gives a picture of what is being stored in the body. For example, if lead is high in the hair, one would expect to find a higher concentration of lead in organs like the kidney and liver cancer, high cholesterol, heart disease, arthritis, migraines and hyperactivity, learning difficulties. Chemical food additives, stress and environmental pollutants also have “detrimental toeffect on our nutritional status.
There are numerous advantages to having a hair analysis test as opposed to invasive medical investigative procedures as there is no needle involved. The test is non-invasive and low cost and can be performed in Australia or anywhere throughout the world. There is no need for you to even attend in person. The only preparation required is finding a pair of scissors to cut a small piece of hair. Anyone can send some strands of their hair for analysis.

So, what can you do if a hair analysis test proves that you have a toxic load in your body. The following two Australian stories about hair analysis results, taken before and after using activated liquid zeolite, may give some indication of the pathway to improved health.
Liver Cancer
Tony P-is a man whohad extremely high lead levels. They were so high that his doctor advised that the use of EDTA chelation therapy might damage him permanently. He chose to use activated liquid zeolite and after 3 months, repeated hair analysis testing showed an 82% decrease in lead levels from 1.1 to 0.2.
John G-is a man who puts everything to the test. His hair analysis was carried out by a Sydney laboratory, first in July 2006 and then again in January 2007 after taking activated liquid zeolite. The first hair analysis results showed that his toxic load was relatively good although he had some high Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury and Barium levels. He also had low iron and copper levels. The second hair sample sent to the same laboratory in January 2007, showed a great improvement after takingactivated liquid zeolite. Iron levels improved and Mercury, Arsenic and Cadmium had markedly reduced. Most importantly his Barium level had dropped by 62% and was now in the normal range which is beneficial for his heart.
These real life stories unequivocally show that activated liquid zeolite removes toxins and heavy metals from the body. These results may differ significantly from most other chelating therapies which are known to also remove minerals and vitamins from your body.
Hair and There-Hair Analysis Test Evidence That Activated Liquid Zeolite Removes Heavy Metals
By performing a test before and after you use activated liquid zeolite, you can test its effectiveness. When you fully understand the extent of damage that heavy metals and toxins can do to your body, you will want to be as toxin free as possible. Why wait to take affirmative action until we getsick when, by reducing our toxic load, we may be reducing the disease causing elements in our bodies. The more we understand about the environment in which we live, the more opportunity we have to move through our world in health, peace and contentment.
Hair Analysis can be performed in Australia by Interclinical Laboratories in Sydney, Phone: 02 9693 2888.

Fruit and Veg the Key to Reducing Life Insurance Payments
If you are one of the many Life Insurance policy holders looking to reduce payments then you are in luck because yourlifestyle or slight changes to your lifestyle has the potential to save you money.
Some companies cut premiums for policy holders who buy fruits and vegetables in their supermarket whilst others offer lower premiums to customers who can prove they are healthy through gym memberships and the purchase of specific sports equipment.
Another incentive for lower premiums on offer for Life Insurance Policy holders is giving up smoking; not only do you benefit health wise, but you also save money. According to North Devon NHS, smokers spend an extra £676 per year on related expenses on top the actual cost of cigarettes. Smoking also causes diseases such as lung cancer, heart attacks, migraine head to name a few I know premiums for smokers tend to be higher because statistics show they dieyounger.
For one to be considered as a non-smoker and take advantage of this offer you must have stopped smoking for a minimum of 12 months, this results in your premiums being lowered by over 50 per cent.

liver problems can range from mild liver congestion to a serious liver disease. Depending on the problem, many people are unaware they have a liver problem and may only have vague symptoms. Liver Problems-What are the Symptoms?
2. Problems producing or secreting bile
3. Problems with detoxification
How do you know if you have a liver problem?
Tests are available through standard pathology labsthat measure liver enzymes, total protein, albumin and bilirubin. Although these tests are called ‘ liver function tests, they indicate whether the liver is damaged rather than how it is functioning. In other words, they are used to detect liver diseases, such as hepatitis and cirrhosis as well as liver cells being damaged from viruses, bacteria, alcohol, drugs and so on. These tests are not useful in detecting mild problems with liver congestion and sluggish detoxification. This is best done by observing your symptoms. However, it is important to consult your practitioner and have the tests performed anyway, just to rule out the possibility of liver disease.
An ultrasound can detect if there is a blockage in the bile duct. This is most commonly caused by the presence of gallstonesin the biliary duct. It is estimated that around 10-20% of people over 40 years of age have gallstones and their presence is linked to a high fat, low fiber diet. The presence of gallstones in the bile duct typically causes nausea and pain. Bile flow can also be impaired through the liver, however this can be difficult to detect with standard testing.

Liver Problems-What are the Symptoms?
When the liver cancer, fat buildup in the liver and an overdose of paracetamol. One of thebiggest problems with failure of diagnosing the liver is that the symptoms are many but so are the diseases that have the same signs. The usual symptoms are itchiness, nausea, jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting, breathlessness, drowsiness, mood swings and mood swings. In severe cases of acute liver failure that has reached the end stages, things such as coma, deliriousness, abdominal pain and incoherency are not uncommon to see in patients.
Determining that someone is suffering from symptoms linked to the end stage liver failure can only be done with medical tests performed in hospitals, The evaluations for diagnosing it in the end stages completed include CT scans, observation of enzymes and toxins, chemical screenings and blood tests. Some patients are also tested for HIV, pregnancy, ammonia or hepatitis.
Even though there have been many advancements in treating people with a failed liver, the mortality rate is still on the high side. If the latter stage of the liver failing has been reached, then the condition is almost always fatal unless a liver transplantation is undergone soon enough. The transplanting procedure is not one of the most complicated and the chances of survival are high. The end stages of liver failure may also be treated with dialysis or medications, but that will only do well until the disease completely the liver shuts down.

Although the HPV virus is a very common one in the human population, we really have no specific test-such as a blood test to detect it in the general population. For women who are at risk for cervical cancer, there is a test called the “digene HPV test” that is usually done at the same time as a pap smear. This test can detect the presence on the cervix of the strains of HPV viruses that are thought to be most likely to cause cervical cancer. This test is used for women over 30, and at risk for women under 30 who have already been shown with a pap smear to have abnormal cervical cells that may be indicative of a problem.
Cancer
Cancer
It is currently believed that there are over 250 strains or types of the HPV virus, and symptoms vary greatly amongst these strains. So unless you havespecific symptoms, there is really no way to know whether or not you carry the virus. That is why it is important to educate yourself about it and take care of your health accordingly.
There are, however, tests that screen for some of the symptoms and conditions that the HPV virus causes. For instance, if you have genital warts, you can be screened at HPV for origin of the condition; types 6 and 11 of the HPV virus causes about 90% of genital warts cases of.
Cancer
Women should be screened at rules for changes on the cervix that are related to pre-cancerous conditions. This test is usually referred to as a “pap test” or “pap smear” and your gynecologist does it during your annual checkup when he takes a small swab of the skin cells on the surface of your cervix, and sends them to thelab to be analyzed for any abnormality.
Other types of cancers related to HPV infection are rare, and there is no known test to determine whether an individual is at risk. For example some strains of HPV can cause cancer of the head and neck, cancer of the throat, cancer of the penis and the vulva or the anus. You do not know that you have these cancers until you develop symptoms and they are diagnosed by your physician. But even if one of these cancers is diagnosed, it is difficult to determine whether the cancer is medically the result of a prior infection with a strain of HPV.
How Can I Get an HPV Test?
So although you cannot be tested to determine whether you have HPV, you can educate yourself about what the HPV virus is and know as much about HPV prevention as possible. If you are an adult who issexually active, or who has been sexually active in the past, you are statistically more likely to have contracted at least one strain of the HPV virus. If you are a person with a weakened immune system because of a chronic disease of any type, you may be even more susceptible to catching HPV and to developing the symptomatic conditions related to it.
Protecting yourself from the common strains of HPV that cause common warts “is a matter of simple hygiene. Protecting yourself from the more dangerous strains of HPV and invisible that can lead to cancer, involves practicing safe sex and having yourself befor … rules for the types of cancers that HPV causes.
